091024-063Held in the impressive surroundings of the Oriel House Hotel in St Asaph, this was  The Big Night.

It is the night all was revealed.  Even the Calendar Girls themselves had not seen their pictures until the unveiling on October 24th.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening television personality,  compare and comedian Dilwyn Pierce did a sterling job.  He introduced the girls as, one by one, they were led onto the stage, red carpet style, by a couple of hunks in tuxedos whilst the calendar pages were projected on the big screen.

Musical entertainment was provided by non other than Welsh born recording artist and singer/songwriter Martyn Rowlands.  Martyn soon had everyone on their feet, strutting their stuff on the dance floor.  Some even joining him on the stage for some impromptu karaoke!

hammerCalendars were on sale during the evening and provisional estimates are that together with the night’s Auction of Promises something in excess of £3,000 was raised on the night!

A huge thanks must go to those businesses and individuals for their kind and generous donations – and of course to those who bid for and won the items.  We will keep you updated here on the actual amount once it has been counted and confirmed.
